A mixed bag this lot, a range of themes I've had a shot at, most abandoned, little gothic numbers from the gloom of youth and under the long spell of Kafka, Bernhard, Goya and Redon, etc. These paintings cover a reasonable period of time. None are recent because figures carry specific psychological and emotional freight that I have wanted to avoid for some time. Yet I will return to metaphorical figurative painting, I just know it.
